Adelaide Tyrol received her formal arts training at Parson's School of Design, The Art Student's League in New York, and the Institute of Fine Arts in Boston. Adelaide spent a good part of her professional life as a botanical and natural history illustrator, before turning her eye and brush towards painting as an interpretive rather than documentary creative pursuit. With due respect to the importance of viewing nature with a scientifically accurate eye, she finds the power of nature to lie beyond the caliper. Adelaide's ink and oil paintings, as well as recent multimedia collage works, have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions throughout New England since the 1990s and reside in corporate, collegiate, and private collections across the U.S.
