Curtis' work is held in numerous private collections nationally and she was selected as the featured artist in the Spring 2006 Issue of Hunger Mountain, The Vermont College Journal of Arts & Letters / Union Institute & University. Kira Curtis attended the Maryland Institute College of Art, Lacoste Ecole des Beaux Arts, in Lacoste, France, and then accepted a scholarship to attend the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. There, she quickly earned a coveted slot in the Advanced Painting Studio Program which she kept for two years, graduating with a BFA in painting in 2001.
Later that year her work was selected for the juried show "Traces of Provence" at the Alliance Francaise in NYC, 2001. In 2002, she curated "Exposed!" an annual sculpture exhibition at the Helen Day Art Center in Stowe, Vermont.
Over the last four years Curtis' work has been shown in Chicago, Vermont and New York and is in private collections in L.A., Boston, Chicago, and Vermont.
